Yes... yes I did buy another pair of expensive shoes.
The famous Gucci horse-bit loafer.
And you know what? I fucking love them.
These are, to me, an example of a luxury priced item, that, if you can afford it, is totally worth it.
They did not give me blisters, or hurt my feet at any point.
(Though do check out The Anna Edit's review as well, she did have a bit of irritation at first).
These shoes are comfortable and have worn in well so far. (I've had them for 8 weeks and wear them every day to work).
I love the style, I love the way the shape pairs with my skinny pants and my tapered pants. These even look good with some of the stretchy, black maternity dresses that I wore over the summer.
If you're looking for a shoe that will last a good, long while, that's comfortable and to my mind, completely classic, save your pennies. These are perfect.
Got mine here.
Other notes: I highly recommend seeing a shoe repair shop about these. Or a 'cobbler' as Anna says. They will be able to add a rubber sole to the bottom to help them last much longer. My 'cobbler' charges $30 for that service. I also add those soles to my heels and I've not had to replace any of them yet. So they last at least a year I would say.
I've added a good dupe below, if you're looking this style but really can't spend the money.
